See Which Part of Town Gave Candidates the Most Support in Watertown's Election

Even those not elected had strong showings in certain parts of town.

The Town Council race in Tuesday’s election saw the unseating of an incumbent and a newcomer leading the vote, but the numbers were not consistent across the precincts.

John Donohue’s 1,898 votes fell 40 short of the final Councilor-at-large spot, which was taken by fellow incumbent Steve Corbett. He still earned more votes in three precincts (1, 6 and 10) than the Aaron Dushku, who led the council race with 2,363 votes and won Precinct 1. He also won six of 12 precincts over Corbett.

Dushku won Precincts 2, 4, 7 and 8, and got 200 votes or more in five precincts. The second and third place finishers, Tony Palomba and Susan Falkoff, seemed to appeal to many of the same voters as Dushku. They each fared well in Precincts 2, 4, 5 and 8, where they both finished in the top 3.

Even those who did not win a seat had their spots in town. Paul Fahey finished fifth, but won Precinct 12 with 194 votes. Michael Dattoli may have finished last among active candidates (Colin Wehrung did not campaign) he still won Precinct 10 with 251 votes.
