Watertown Backs Koutoujian

The winner of the Democratic primary, state Sen. Katherine Clark, came in fourth in Watertown.

Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian was the top vote-getter in Watertown during the special Congressional election on Tuesday.

Koutoujian received 1,815 votes (38%) in Watertown, besting state Sen. Will Brownsberger with 1,431 vote (30%), state Rep. Carl Sciortino with 714 votes (15%) and state Sen. Katherine Clark, who was the winner, with 668 votes (14%). 

Clark will face off against Republican challenger Frank Addivinola, who easily won the Republican primary on Tuesday, during the special election on Dec. 10. The winner will replace former Congressman Edward J. Markey, who is now a U.S. senator.
