Advent with Saint Francis of Assisi

The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas tend to be the busiest of the year. Too few of us take the time or even seem to have the time to slow down and reflect upon the Christmas Miracle. But Advent should be a time for penance, prayer, and preparation: a time to count our blessings and to make ourselves ready for the birth of the Christ Child on Christmas Day.

In this spirit, all are welcome to join us for our Advent Book Club: "Advent & Christmas with Saint Francis of Assisi." This special program of prayer and spiritual reading will meet on the four consecutive Sundays of Advent, December 2nd through December 23rd at Saint Patrick's Parish Center from 1:15pm until 2:45pm.

Each meeting of the Advent Book Club will begin with Daytime Prayer, followed by a guided meditation and faith sharing based on the scriptures and on writings by Saint Francis of Assisi.
