Ground the Drones: A Report Back from the Code Pink Peace Delegation to Pakistan

Come and hear Lois Mastrangelo of Watertown &    Paki Wieland of Northampton speak about their experiences.

31 Americans from all walks of life traveled to Pakistan in early October on a delegation organized by Code Pink Women for Peace. The purpose was to learn firsthand about the effects of U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan and to show the Pakistani people that not all Americans support their country's drone policy.

Delegates on the trip participated in the massive anti-drone Peace March to Waziristan, where the drones have been killing many civilians. They also met with families of drone strike victims and learned of the impending obliteration of the centuries-old Pashtun culture.
