Hola La Family Class

Winter 2013: Almuerzo con Kiko - Lunch with Kiko

Through Hola La's signature humor, catchy chants and engaging games and stories, children will  learn lunch and mealtime vocabulary and phrases, native foods of Puerto  Rico and get to know Pepa's family and new surroundings.

In Hola La's winter session, we will be continuing with our "La mesa familiar" (The Family Table) curriculum. In the fall, we talked about "el desayuno" (breakfast). In the winter, Pepa and Pepe play outside in the snow each day, and then go inside to have "almuerzo" (lunch) with their "familia" (family).  Their friend "Kiko" the coqui has more surprises for Pepa and Pepe as they continue to miss their native Puerto Rico - while at the same time adjust to their new life here.  Children will have fun learning winter vocabulary - particularly vocabulary associated with the "nieve" (snow) as well as vocabulary associated with lunchtime.
