Nineteenth Century Americans in Paris

David McCullough's book, The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris (2011), tells the story of Americans in Paris from 1830 to 1900 who influenced American history in the arts, literature, medicine, politics, and more. Rosemarie Smurzynski will lead a walk to some notables interred at Mount Auburn Cemetery including Charles Sumner, Winslow Homer, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., Henry Ingersoll Bowditch, and Thomas Gold Appleton.
