Watertown Ford to Host 'Go Further with Ford Night'

Two New England Ford dealers, Ford of Londonderry in New Hampshire and Watertown Ford in Massachusetts, will be hosting a "Go Further with Ford Night" on Thursday, Nov. 15 at their respective showrooms. As the finale to Ford's Random Acts of Fusion multimedia campaign for the redesigned 2013 Ford Fusion, the event will give participants an opportunity to win the new midsize sedan, as well as a chance to win a VIP experience with "American Idol" by testing their judging skills on camera.

Go Further with Ford Night will also be a way to give back to the community, as each participating dealer will give $10 for every preregistered attendee to a local charity, up to a total of $500. At Ford of Londonderry, proceeds will benefit the Londonderry Athletic & Field Association, a volunteer-run organization that sponsors more than 116 children's teams in their recreational baseball and softball leagues. Watertown Ford will direct its donation to the Watertown Boys & Girls Club.

"Though the Random Acts of Fusion campaign has been engaging Ford fans across the country all along, this event is a chance for people to meet and engage with one another while checking out the stylish new Fusion," said Jim McGovern, general manager of Ford of Londonderry. "Plus, those who register can help make a difference in their community while also having a chance to win a Fusion of their own."

Available in four models, including a hybrid version that returns 47 mpg in city, highway and combined ratings, the 2013 Ford Fusion offers a bolder look and upgraded features. Fuel economy has been improved across the Fusion lineup, with two new EcoBoost engines included among the three conventional powerplant options. Meanwhile, Ford's voice-activated infotainment system, SYNC, comes standard to keep drivers connected on the road, and active safety features like the available blind-spot monitoring and forward collision warning help prevent accidents.

"The new Fusion is very fuel efficient, yet it still offers a sleek and responsive ride, meaning it can fit the needs of nearly every type of driver," said Peter King, general manager of Watertown Ford. "That kind of flexibility is made possible by innovations like the new EcoBoost engines, which eliminate the need to compromise between performance and practicality."
