HOPSTER’S BREW & BOARDS KICKS OFF ‘TAP TAKEOVER’ SERIES

Hopster’s Brew and Boards, Boston’s
first and only community brewery and restaurant hybrid, is kicking off a new
tap takeover series; where it will host one of its favorite local craft beer
companies for one night, offering exclusive beers on tap from the Brewery and a
unique opportunity for avid fans to brew a rare recipe with the brand’s founder
or head brewer.
Backlash Beer Company, based in Holyoke, MA, and its brewmaster, Helder Pimentel, will take over Hopster’s kettles and lead the brewing efforts - including the grinding, mashing and boiling – to ultimately create 75 gallons of a brand new, one-of-a-kind Backlash Double IPA. 30 lucky people who reserve their spot in advance will have the opportunity to brew custom craft beer from scratch with one of the industry’s top beer experts and, after 2-3 weeks of fermenting, will have a case of this exclusive beer to enjoy at home.
Throughout the evening, while the brewing process is taking place, brewers and non-brewing spectators who stop in for a drink at Hopster’s bar will have a chance to taste any of Backlash’s six top brews included in the lineup:

Groundswell
– Belgian Blonde – 6.4% ABV
Declaration
– Belgian IPA – 7.2%
Convergence
– Super Saison – 7.0%
Death – Imperial Stout – 9.5%
Riot– Galaxy Double IPA – 8.5%
Chaos – Over the top Double IPA – 8.5%
Hopster’s
tap takeover series continues next month featuring Clown Shoes (May 8) and Idle
Hands Craft Ales (May 16).
