Monuments, Notables, and Landscape: Walking Tour of Mt Auburn

Join docent Rosemarie
Smurzynski of Mount Auburn Cemetery for a spring walk. Learn about the
cemetery’s historic beginning, explore its landscape, and stop by significant
buildings and monuments, including those of Historic New England notables
Harrison Gray Otis, Henry Davis Sleeper, and founder William Sumner Appleton,
among others. Hear about the extensive holdings of historic resources of Mount
Auburn Cemetery and Historic New England archives and how to access them. Rain
date for severe weather May 4.
