World Soccer Powers Brazil and Portugal to Face Off at Gillette Stadium This September

Gillette Stadium, home to Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution, will host a historic friendly between international top-tier soccer teams Brazil and Portugal on Tuesday, September 10. Because the match will be held during an official FIFA competition window, the exhibition is slated to feature both nations’ top squads, including Brazil’s Neymar and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Brazilian players, Fred, Hulk, Thiago Silva, and David Luiz – who recently won the Confederations Cup (the preparation tournament for the 2014 FIFA World Cup) – are also scheduled to be among some of the top competitors. Portugal’s call-ups for its recent World Cup qualifiers include Nani, Hélder Postiga, Pepe and Bruno Alves – all of which are expected to participate in the friendly.

Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster outlets and the Gillette Stadium box office by calling 1-877-GET-REVS. For more information, visit RevolutionSoccer.net.
