Watertown Woman Raising Money for Rare Genetic Disorder

Watertown's Kelsey Predergast has a rare genetic disorder called PKU, and she is raising money to pay for research into treating the disease.

The current Providence College senior will run the Cox Marathon in Providence to to raise money for research, and she created a campaign on GoFundMe.com to raise funds.

"PKU research and medications have allowed me to excel in the classroom and athletic field throughout my life and now I feel a sense of responsibility to contribute back, with hopes of reaching new improvements and helping other allied disorders that are not as lucky," she wrote on her GoFundMe page.
