Watertown Corner Named to Honor Former State Rep, World War II Vet

The corner in East Watertown was named after a former judge and State Representative.

The corner of Greenough Boulevard and Grove Street is now known as Menton Corner after a man who has played an important role in Watertown and the corner itself.

Judge Paul Menton was on hand last week for the unveiling of the sign by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. The former District Court Judge and State Representative played a critical role in construction Grove Street - which connects Greenough Boulevard to Coolidge Avenue.

Menton also served in World War II. State Rep. Jonathan Hecht, State Rep. John Lawn and members of the Town Council were on hand for the dedication of Menton Corner.
