Grace Chapel Watertown Volunteers Pack Kits for Typhoon Hayain Victims

Grace Chapel Watertown Volunteers Pack Kits for Typhoon Hayain Victims

70 volunteers packed emergency relief kits last Saturday at Grace Chapel Watertown’s building.  Grace Chapel members gave $84,000 in a special offering at Christmas Eve services across three campuses in greater Boston and used that money to buy the contents for 3,000 emergency relief kits.  These kits were packed last Saturday at Grace Chapel’s three campuses by over 500 total volunteers.

“I loved having my kids experience firsthand what it means to care for others,” said Mark MacDonald, a member at Grace’s Watertown location.  Volunteers organized the packing day, and volunteers from age 7 to age 75 enjoyed working together on this service project.  The kits are on their way to the Philippines to help people affected by Typhoon Hayain.
