Bank Relay Team Raised More Than $12,200 at Annual Gala

Watertown Savings Bank is gearing up for the 10th Anniversary of the Watertown/Waltham Relay for Life event, being held Friday-Saturday, June 21-22 at Victory Field in Watertown

WATERTOWN, June 18, 2013— 2013 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Watertown/Waltham Relay for Life event in support of the American Cancer Society (ACS).  The Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) Relay for Life Team is looking to make this a memorable year.

The WSB team is the top fundraising team from Watertown/Waltham, and one of the most successful fundraising teams in New England.  One of the major reasons for this success is their annual gala fundraiser, which was held in May.  More than $12,200 was raised.

“This is our third year hosting this fundraiser and it is just amazing the amount of support we receive from the local merchants in the way of raffles, prizes and donations!” said WSB Relay Team co-captain Lisa Nichols.

“We are so grateful for the continued support shown to us each year at this event, from our coworkers, family, and friends,” said WSB Relay Team co-captain Antonia O’Hara.
