Three Watertown High Students among the Winners in Bank’s Photo Contest

Three Watertown High School Students are among the 12 Winners in Watertown Savings Bank's Annual High School Photo Contest!

WATERTOWN, May 14, 2013—Three Watertown High School (WHS) students are among the 12 winners in Watertown Savings Bank’s (WSB) Annual High School Photo Contest.  115 students from six cities and towns submitted photos to this year’s competition.  Facebook users participated by “liking” their favorites.  4,950 “likes” were recorded.  Then bank staff selected the winners from the top 25 contestants with the most “likes.”  The winning photographs will comprise WSB’s 2014 calendar, available to bank customers each December.

WHS Freshman Marvin Aramthip was awarded an Honorable Mention for his photo entitled View from Newton Corner Garage.  It will appear along with October in the calendar.  Francesca Belli, a WHS junior, was awarded an Honorable Mention for Bike Rider, which will appear with May.  And Molly Munger, another WHS freshman, was also awarded an Honorable Mention for her photo Waterfall at Belmont Pond.  It will appear along with March.

A reception to honor all the winners will be held in June at the bank’s main office, 60 Main Street, Watertown Square.  The students’ winning photos will be featured on the digital screens in all WSB branch lobbies throughout the summer.
