Deadline Fast Approaching for WSB's Annual High School Photo Contest

Watertown Savings Bank is seeking submissions for their 13th Annual High School Photography contest.  If you are a high school student who lives or attends school in Arlington, Belmont, Lexington, Newton, Waltham, and Watertown you are eligible to participate.  The twelve winning photographs will be published in the bank’s 2015 calendar, which is distributed free to nearly 7,500 customers annually.

Once again this year, instead of submitting printed photos, interested students are invited to email one photograph which captures a local scene.  All submitted photographs must be emailed to marketing@watertownsavings.com by midnight of March 31, 2014.  Submissions will be posted to the Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) Facebook page for the month of April, and will be voted on by WSB Facebook page visitors.  The 25 photographs with the most “Likes” by April 30th will be semi-finalists.  Bank employees will choose the 12 winning photographs from the semi-finalists.

In addition to appearing in the 2015 calendar, all winning photographs will also be exhibited throughout the WSB branch network on their lobby digital screens.  The bank holds an award ceremony in June to recognize the winners and distribute the awards.  All winners will receive gift certificates to a local photography shop.  First place winner receives $500; second place $300; third place $200; and the nine honorable mentions each receive a $100 gift certificate.
