Thank you from the Committee to Elect Michael Dattoli

Thank you Watertown residents and supporters for an amazing and exciting six-month journey.  I learned a lot about our community, had meaningful experiences with thousands of people, and exceeded many campaign goals along the way.

Two years ago, less than 17% of registered voters came to the polls for the town election.  With only four incumbent names on the ballot, a sticker campaign by Mike Mandel offered us discourse and new perspectives.  My campaign for Town Councilor at-Large stemmed from that same desire to bring dialogue and ask new questions about our community’s current and future priorities.  Paul Fahey and Aaron Dushku added to this conversation, and the voters responded with 21% turnout.

I will remain actively engaged with the community to ensure that I continue to learn from and act on behalf of your visions.  Nearly 1700 voters cast a vote for my voice during this election, which is reassuring and satisfying.  My campaign outreach efforts engaged voters in conversations at their door and in the community.  It was a long process, however extremely rewarding.  I would like to sincerely thank everyone that took the time to vote for my message or helped to spread it in some way.  I look forward to lasting friendships with each and every person I had the pleasure of meeting over the course of this election.  We all make up a strong, vibrant community that will no doubt continue to thrive.
