Anne Bartley, 86, of Watertown, Active in Community Organizations

Anne C. Bartley (Colpoys) of Watertown died on Dec. 2 at the age of 86. 

She was born in Brighton to the late Francis and Frances (McMahon) Colpoys, and lived the majority of her 62 years of marriage in Watertown. She graduated from Framingham State College with a B.S. as a Dietician and was employed by the Lexington Public School System as a supervisor of Dietary Food Services, according to an obituary on the DeVito Funeral Home website

She worked extensively with the Girl Scouts both at St. Theresa's Church and the entire district of Watertown. Also at St. Theresa's Church Anne enjoyed many years with the Sodality as well as the Couples Club. She was also very active with League of Catholic Women, the Watertown Womens Club and the Watertown Garden Club.

She was wife of John J. Bartley; mother of Suzin Bartley and her husband Chris Navin of Milton, John C. "Jack" Bartley of Watertown and Anne Reddington and her husband Michael of Milton; grandma to Brian and Paul Bartley Navin, Matthew and Tyler Bartley and Julia, Bartley and John Reddington; sister of Joan Barton of Virginia and was predeceased by her brothers Francis L. Colpoys, M.D. and Jack Colpoys.

Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the DeVito Funeral Home in Watertown. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6 commencing at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be private.
