Helen E. (McGuiggan) Griffin of Watertown died on Jan. 7 at the age of 90.
A graduate of Revere High School, she retired from Arkwright Mutual Insurance of Boston in Waltham where she worked as a clerk. Helen moved from Revere to Watertown in 1972, according to an obituary on the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home website.
She was the wife of the late Robert F. Griffin; daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Thomas) McGuiggan. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen G. Ambrogio and her husband Edward of Watertown; her loving granddaughters, Kaitlin Griffin Ambrogio and Keara Griffin Ambrogio; sister, Joan Canniff of Revere; and brother, Laurence McGuiggan of Winthrop. She is predeceased by her sisters, Frances Mitchell, Alice Camerano and brother Walter McGuiggan.
Visiting hours will be at the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave. in Saugus on Sunday, Jan. 12 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, Jan. 13 from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach St. in Revere at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of MA, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
