Peter A. Renzella died on Aug. 18 at the age of 92.
He worked at a variety of places in his life, including the Quincy Shipyard, and served in the Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, the Sons of Italy in Newton and American Legion Post 440, according to an obituary on Legacy.com.
He was the husband of the late Carmela (Salvucci) Renzella; father of Diane Renzella of Newton, Donna Ripley and her husband Robert of Waltham, Deborah Beck and her husband Arthur of Waltham, Darlene Entwisle and her husband Larry of San Diego, Daniel Renzella and his wife Debbie of Watertown and David Renzella of San Diego; brother of Mary DiGiacomo of Malden, Yolanda DiBattista of Malden, Albert Renzella of Malden, Frank Renzella of Malden, the late Margaret DiGiacomontonio, Joseph Renzella and Katherine Drinkwater. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Tony Salvucci and his wife Carol of North Carolina, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Nardone Funeral Home, 373 Main St. in Watertown, on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday, Aug. 23 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
