Vasgen Hovanesian of Jamaica Plain and formerly of Watertown died on Dec. 7 at the age of 93.
He is a former member of the Newton and Watertown Art Associations, according to an obituary on the Giragosian Funeral Home website.
He was husband of Siranus (Benlian) Hovanesian; father of Silva Cameron and her husband Richard of Jamaica Plain and Armenuhi Hovhannes of California; grandfather of Nicholas and Nora Cameron; brother of Askanoush Tonoyan of Armenia and the late Aghavni Aivazian and Karnig Hovanesian.
Visiting hours will be at the Giragosian Funeral Home, 576 Mt. Auburn St. (Rt.16) in Watertown, on Saturday, Dec. 14 from noon-1 p.m. with a chapel service at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Jamaica Plain.
