LETTER: Bob McCarthy Urges Dems to Support Kazis for State Committeeman

David Kazis would be a conduit for Watertown Democrats and has the experience and dedication to serve the Second Suffolk and Middlesex District, McCarthy writes.

Dear Editor,

On March 6, 2012, "Super Tuesday," Watertown voters of the Democratic Party will go to the polls to re-nominate President Barack Obama and elect two State Committee members (one male and one female).

I am respectfully requesting that the Democratic voters of Watertown consider David Kazis to the open seat to serve as the Democratic State Committeeman for the Second Middlesex and Suffolk Senate District. David Kazis is a proven hard working progressive Democrat. He is familiar with the needs of Watertown and has expressed his strong concerns over proposed MBTA budget cuts and Walmart's plans to build a new store on Arsenal Street. I believe that David truly represents the type of leadership that this new District demands and I endorse his candidacy and I am proud to stand by his side in this campaign.

As a State Committeeman to the Democratic Party; David will be a conduit, a neighborhood liaison and your"political mediator." David will facilitate constant communications between the constituents of the District, the Democratic Party, the Democratic Town Committee and our Local and State officials. He has a great rapport with numerous community activists and representatives.

As a graduate of Boston University and the London School of Economic; David has the education, experience and dedication needed to address all of the challenges that come before the Democratic State Committee. He will work with all Democrats to re-energize the grassroots base among our youth. As a recent State Senate candidate for the Second Middlesex and Suffolk Senate District; I have personally witnessed David's gregarious personality and his strong consensus-building approach to politics. David Kazis is part of a new local fresh breed of enthusiastic politics that promote accessibility and transparency that will assure that our voice will be heard. Please visit David's web site www.votekazis2012.com/ and remember a vote for "KAZIS" is a vote for a new refreshing voice that will move our community forward.
