LETTER: New Additions to the Watertown Relay for Life

Ken Woodland announces that a dunk tank featuring town officials and a flag football game will be held in conjunction with the event that raises money for cancer research.

Hello Watertown,

This year’s Relay for Life, Friday, June 8, will feature two new and exciting aspects that I wanted to take a second to inform the community about.

First, in accordance with this year’s theme, at the night of the event Watertown’s elected officials will be stepping into a Dunk Tank! With officials rotating throughout the night, I would like to encourage all of Watertown to come down to soak your favorite and partake in an event with such a powerful and worthy cause.

Second, the afternoon after relay, in an effort to increase younger supporter’s involvement, there is a rekindling of the once annual flag football tournament. On the new Victory Field, teams of 5-8 will be able to enjoy some friendly competition with all proceeds going to the Watertown Relay for Life.

For more details, if you are interested inparticipating, or you have any questions on anything mentioned here, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone at 617-780-4426 or email at woodlandkenneth@gmail.com. Hope to see you at Relay!
