LETTER TO THE EDITOR - Bob McCarthy Thanks Supporters, Friends and Others

The State Senate candidate also reached out to his opponents in the Dec. 13 election.

Dear Editor,

I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to all who voted on Dec. 13 in the "Special Election." Thank you for your patience and understanding during the fast paced special election primary to fill the vacancy; due to the resignation of former State Senator Steve Tolman.

Thank You for allowing me to come into your homes; Thank you for reading my campaign literature, thank you for taking the phone calls, thank you for your attendance at the candidates debates and thank you for your participation while supporting your respective candidate.

As a first time candidate for public office; the positive vibes that I experienced from the people of the district was exhilarating and exciting. This campaign has restored and fortified my belief in "Public Service." I would also like to thank State Representative Brownsberger, State Representative Hecht and Attorney Scholfield on their professionalism and for the courtesies extended to me, my family and my campaign workers during the days before election day. The very best to all of you in your future endeavors.

Although I was not successful; I have more friends now than I did before the election and I truly enjoyed every minute of the campaign and will have many memories that I will cherish forever. I would be remiss if I did not thank my family and my Campaign Chairman Tom Thibaut for their dedication and commitment. Great job.

Wishing you all the very best of health and happiness during this festive "Holiday Season" and a Happy, Safe and Prosperous New Year to you and your families.

Best Regards,
Bob McCarthy
Candidate for the Second Suffolk and Middlesex Senate District

At the end of the day why did the fine gentlemen seek public office, for "positive vibes" perhaps? Not a word was said in his self-congratulatory letter about policy, belief or goals. Hopefully this individual will now quietly return to the obscurity that he so richly deserves. Farewell "Candidate Bob".
