Accused Marathon Bomber Has More Time Choose Whether to Seek Change of Venue

A judge extended the deadline.

The accused Boston Marathon bomber will have more time to decide whether to look for a new venue for the trial.

Federal District Court Judge George A. O'Toole Jr. agreed to extend the deadline for lawyers for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to file for a change of venue past Feb. 28. The judge did not set a new date, according to a story in the Boston Globe

Prosecutors have not decided whether to pursue the death penalty against Tsarnaev, and will do so by the end of January, according to the Globe.

Dzokhar Tsarnaev is being held without bail at Fort Devens in Ayer.
