Allston Man Busted on OUI Charge After an Alleged Hit-and-Run Accident

Man allegedly rear ended a car and left the area.

An Allston man faces drunken driving charges after allegedly hitting a car in Watertown and fleeing the area. 

A woman called Watertown Police after she was rear-ended by another car while driving on Galen Street. 

"The vehicle passed her and continued without stopping," said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. "She followed the vehicle to Channing Road, where it pulled into a driveway."

Police located the driver and the officer detected an odor on the driver's breath. Field sobriety tests were given and she was placed under arrest.

Nicholas A. Pratt, 25, 69 Coolidge Road Apt. 1 in Allston, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of property damage and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
