Electronics Stolen During Break-in of Watertown Home

A woman left a friend in charge of her home while she was on vacation, and while the friend was out of the house someone broke in, according to Watertown Police.

"The friend checked the house at 10 p.m. on (Nov.) 11th, and left to get some food," said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. "When she came back she smelled a strong odor of bleach and missing were a TV and a radio."

It appears that the burglar got into the house through the back door, which was left unlocked, Lawn said. The bleach was likely spilled by the burglar.

Police are investigating.
