A homeowner arrived to find her home had just been broken into.

Watertown Police arrested a Chelsea man when they found he had items on him that has been stolen from a Watertown home.

An Otis Street resident came home and found a ladder up against her bedroom window and the screen pushed out. When she looked inside she found her iPhone and iPad were missing, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

Police used a locator app to track down the devices and discovered they were in the area of Mt. Auburn Street and Boylston Street.

"The officer saw a number of people at a bus stop and one individual was paying particular attention (to the officer)," Lawn said.

The officer asked to look inside the man's bag and found the iPhone and iPad.

Kevin Vasquez, 20, of 82 Clinton St. in Chelsea, was arrested on charges of breaking and entering and two counts of larceny over $250, Lawn said.
