Man Faces OUI Charges After Being Caught Speeding in Watertown

The man was clocked driving nearly 70 mph on Main Street.

Watertown Police arrested a Brighton man on a OUI charges after he was caught speeding on Main Street.

On Aug. 23 at 1:49 a.m., an officer patrolling on Main Street spotted a truck coming from Waltham into Watertown at a high rate of speed, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

“The speed on the radar was 66 mph and peaked at 69 mph,” Lawn said. “The driver also narrowly missed a curb.”

The officer pulled over the man and performed field sobriety tests and arrested the man.

Daniel Redden, 27, of 20 Rose Garden Circle in Brighton, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, Lawn said.
