Man With Watertown Connection Involved in Waltham Shooting Captured in Boston

Waltham Police had been searching for a man involved in an armed home invasion on Dec. 7.

 

UPDATED, 3:55 p.m. with more information from the Waltham Police Department: 

Waltham Police have charged Andre Laventure, 26, of Manchster, NH, formerly of Watertown, and Cameron Fournier, 24, of 25 Rack Rd., Chelmsford with crimes in connection with an armed home invasion on Dec. 8.

Laventure faces the following charges: two counts of kidnapping, three counts of attempted murder, carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a home and home invasion.

Fournier faces the following charges: home invasion and assault and battery.

Police say both men entered 243 Lake St. at 11:30 p.m. and started a fight with three people inside. Laventure brandished a handgun and held the individuals against their will as both men robbed the individuals. The occupants fled the home as Laventure fired at them. Nobody was struck or injured. 

The pair will be arraigned in Waltham District Court on Monday.

Saturday, 1:50 p.m.: Waltham Police have confirmed the man involved in a shooting in Waltham on Dec. 7 has been captured in Boston, according to one of their Twitter feeds.

At around 12:30 p.m. Waltham Police Lt. Richard Couture tweeted that Andre Laventure, who previously lived in Watertown and frequents the town, had been apprehended in Boston. Police had been searching for Laventure and considered him armed and dangerous. Couture did not issue any further information.

Waltham Police could not immediately be reached for comment or further information.
