Man Passes Out in Back of Cab in Watertown, Busted for Drug Possession

The man caught the taxi in Boston and was driven to the Super 8 Motel.

A man faces drug possession charges after he passed out in the back of a taxi in Watertown.

Police got a call from a cab driver who had picked up a man in Boston and taken him to the Super 8 Motel in Watertown. Along the way the man fell asleep and when they arrived at the motel the driver could not wake up the passenger, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

Officers arrived and were able to wake up the man.

"Officers observed three clear plastic baggies next to the man, as well as some cash and cigarettes," Lawn said.

The baggies contained approximately 3.4 grams of crack cocaine, Lawn said.

Adrian P. Duffy, 40, of 18 School St. in Dorchester, was arrested on a charge of possession of a Class B drug, a subsequent offense, Lawn said.
