More Information on String of Watertown Car Break-ins

Several cars were broken into on Aug. 30, including a bunch on Commonwealth Road.

Several cars were broken into in Watertown on Friday, Aug 30.

The largest number of break-ins occurred on Commonwealth Road where someone entered seven vehicles the previous night and rummaged around inside. Only one had items stolen, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn, but the items were later found on a neighbor’s front lawn.

A car parked in a Dexter Avenue driveway was broken into but nothing was reported missing. The car had been unlocked.
An Edenfield Road resident reported that a small first aid box was taken from a car left unlocked.
