The day that the fervor over the Rolling Stone magazine cover featuring Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, another photo of the suspect emerged and landed a Massachusetts State Police officer in trouble.

One of the photos depicts Tsarnaev about to be captured in the boat on Franklin Street in Watertown with a laser sight poised on his forehead, as can be seen in this story on NBCNews.com.

The photos were released by Murphy without the approval of the State Police, and a spokesman said the photos will not be released to other media outlets.

Murphy is the photographer for the State Police and also the liaison to the families of fallen officers. He told Boston Magazine that he thought the cover was an “insult to any person who has ever worn a uniform of any color or any police organization or military branch.”
