Police Closed Down Streets in Watertown Due to Suspicious Package

The package at Super 8 Motel has led to closing streets in the area near Watertown Square.

The suspicious package turned out to be a suitcase with a motor and PVC piping on it, according to Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. The bomb squad came to examine the suitcase and deemed it safe.

Police are opening up the roads around the Super 8 Motel after investigating a suspicious package. Officers are taking photos of the scene.

Watertown Police are closing down the streets in the area near Watertown Square due to a suspicious package at the Super 8 Motel.

A bomb squad has been called to the area, according to scanner reports. 

Police are closing Arsenal Street from Watertown Square to School Street, and and North Beacon Street at Ladd Street.
