Thieves Take Christmas Tree, Decorations from Watertown's Oakley Country Club

A band of college-aged men were seen taking a tree, a reindeer and doing more damage at the country club.

The Christmas spirit was stolen from the Oakley Country Club, along with a Christmas tree and other holiday decorations.

Security video caught a group of young men taking the items, and doing other damage at the golf course, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

"On Dec. 2, an unknown group of college age kids wee seen on video at about 2 a.m. taking a Christmas tree, a reindeer and placing them in a car," Lawn said. "They also took an Oakley Country Club sign - cutting it down with a chain saw."
