Robbers Threatened Man With Knife in his Watertown Home

Two men were in the Palmer Street house when the owner came home.

A man returned home Sunday afternoon to find a man in his home and when he tussled with him, a second man came out an threatened him with a knife.

The home owner returned home around 12:45 p.m. and saw that his back door was open and a hidden key was in the lock, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. He went around to the front door and entered his house.

"He found a white male in his living room, he confronted him and an altercation ensued between homeowner and the suspect," Lawn said. "At that time a black male entered the room, held a knife to the homeowners neck, and then the two suspects fled out the front door."

Police searched the area but could not locate the suspect, Lawn said. The suspects took some cash, an iPad, a PlayStation 3, a Google tablet, and possibly some jewelry.

The first man was described as a white male in his late 20s to 30 years old, 5-8 to 5-9, 160 pounds, thin build. He had short brown hair in a buzz cut, a scruffy goatee, brown eyes, and was wearing a blue New England Patriots hat, blue jeans, black sneakers and black leather gloves. Lawn said.

The second suspect was a black male with light skin, in his late 20s to 30, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, muscular build with short brown hair, a full bear and a possible tattoo on back of his neck. He was wearing a red shirt, dark jeans, boots and black leather gloves, Lawn said.
