UPDATED: Robbery at Citizens Bank at Stop & Shop on Pleasant Street in Watertown

Police seek a couple who reportedly robbed the Citizens Bank location inside the West End supermarket.

Police continue to search for a man suspected of robbing the Citizens Bank branch inside the Stop & Shop on Pleasant Street.

They received the initial call about the robbery at 10:11 a.m. on Monday, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. 

"Officers discovered a white male entered the store and displayed a note to the teller demanding cash," Lawn said. "An undisclosed amount of cash was given to the male. He fled the store, and was last observed heading toward North Street in Waltham."

The suspect did not have a weapon and no one hurt during the incident, Lawn said.

The Stop & Shop supermarket remains open after the robbery, but the Citizens Bank branch in the store has been cordoned off with crime scene tape, according to WHDH Channel 7's Jonathan Hall.

Watertown Police seek a man and woman who reportedly robbed the Citizens Bank inside the Stop & Shop supermarket on Pleasant Street at about 10:15 a.m. on Monday.

According to scanner reports, the pair left the parking lot in a black, two-door car on North Street in Waltham, heading toward Newton.

The pair is described as a white male with blonde hair, and a white female wearing a red sweater, according to scanner reports.
