Trooper Who Treated Officer Donahue in Watertown Receives Top Honor

The trooper was recognized with a national award.

The Massachusetts trooper who performed CPR on MBTA Officer Richard Donahue after he was injured in the Watertown shootout following the Boston Marathon bombings received a national honor Wednesday at the annual state police awards ceremony, according to WHDH.

Trooper Christopher Dumont was named the “Trooper of the Year” by the American Association of State Troopers at the ceremony, according to state police.

Dumont is a certified paramedic.
