Two Watertown Men Nabbed in Drug Sting

Police arrested the men when they allegedly made a drug deal on Arsenal Street.

Two men face drug charges after being caught allegedly trying to sell hundreds of illegal prescription pills in the parking lot of the VFW Post.

On July 23 at 5:50 p.m. police observed two men – identified as Armen Mouchlian and Michael Swift - go into the parking lot behind the VFW off Arsenal Street, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

“It appeared that a drug deal was taking place,” Lawn said. “Officers stopped them and Mouchlian had approximately 300 pills.”

The pills were Percocet, Lawn said. Police arrested both men on drug charges, Lawn said.

The arrest was the result of a multi-month investigation by the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force and the Watertown Police Department, Lawn said.

Armen Mouchlian, 31, of 54 Hancock St. in Watertown, faces charges of conspiracy to violate drug law, trafficking a Class B drug, distribution of a Class B drug, possession of ammunition (pepper spray) and a warrant, Lawn said.

Michael Swift, 31, of 28 Lexington St. in Watertown, faces charges of conspiracy to violate drug law and trafficking a Class B drug, Lawn said.
