Watertown Firefighters Donate Funds to Injured MBTA Officer

The Watertown Fire Department raised money from their Watertown Fire Strong T-shirts.

Following the events of April 19, the Watertown Fire Department created their own “Watertown Fire Strong” T-shirts to raise money, and they decided to give the proceeds to a worthy cause.

So far the Fire Department has raised $12,000, and at the Celebration for the First Responders on June 27 they announced they would donate the proceeds to help injured MBTA Police Officer Richard Donohue.

Donohue was saved by members of the Watertown Fire Department after being injured during the firefight with the Boston Marathon Bombing suspects on Laurel Street.
