Watertown Home Broken Into, Computers Tampered With

The burglar also took some jewelry from the home on Morton Street.

A Morton Street resident returned from a trip to find someone broke into her house, took some jewelry and tampered with her computers.

On Feb. 20, the resident told police about the break in, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

"Somebody entered the residence whle the residents were out of the country," Lawn said. "They came home and noticed somebody had been inside the house."

While there were no signs of forced entry, Lawn said that the resident reported she was missing three necklaces, an iPod and a cell phone. Also, two computers were tampered with. 

"Passwords were changed and items were deleted," Lawn said.

Police are investigating the incident.
