Watertown Man Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Three Men in a Cemetery

Victims said the man pulled a knife after he became upset because they were talking too loudly in the early hours of Sept. 8.

A Watertown man allegedly pulled a knife on three men in the early hours of Sept. 8 after the suspect got angry at the men for talking too loudly as they walked down Highland Avenue.

The three men approached an officer on patrol and told them they had been assaulted, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

The men were walking on Highland Street near the Ridgelawn Cemetery when a man yelled at them to "Shut the F- up!" according to police reports. An argument began and the man allegedly pulled out a knife and pointed it at them, the report said.

The three victims left the area and headed into the cemetery. Then they noticed a car in the cemetery, as it got closer, they recognized the driver as the man who has pulled the knife on them, according to the police report. The man got out of the Chevy and confronted them again.

The victims gave the license plate number to the police, who tracked it to Kenneth Seacrist, who lives on Highland Avenue.

Kenneth C. Seacrist, 33, of 216 Highland Ave. in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon - a knife.
