Watertown Man Busted After Drug Investigation

Police got a warrant and tracked down the man at Dunkin' Donuts.

A 28-year-old Watertown man faces drug charges in two courts after being arrested after a 4-month investigation.

The Suburban Middlesex County Drug Taskforce and the Watertown Police have been investigating the man identified as Aleksandr Mangoyan for dealing drugs from his home, first on Walcott Street Road and most recently at an apartment on Pleasant Street, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

“We received information about drug dealing on Walcott Road in Watertown, where we believe he previously resided,” Lawn said.

  • On July 9, police obtained an arrest warrant from Waltham District Court, and at about 4 p.m. they located Mangoyan at Dunkin' Donuts on Main Street.

“He was placed him under arrest on the warrant and officers found five Oxycodone pills on his person,” Lawn said.

Aleksandr Mangoyan, 28, of 270 Pleasant St. Apt. 218 in Watertown was arrested on two counts of distributing a Class B drug and driving with a suspended license, Lawn said.

As a result of the investigation, Newton Police will seek charges against Mangoyan for distribution of a Class B drug in a park zone, Lawn said.
