Watertown Man Faces OUI Charge After Crashing His Car into a Concrete Pot
The pot sat in the middle of an intersection, and the 31-year-old town resident allegedly struck it while driving under the influence of alcohol.
A Watertown man faces a drunken driving charge after he crashed his car at the intersection on Warren and Lexington Streets on in the early hours of Dec. 2.
Police went to the intersection after receiving a report of a white Mazda involved in an accident with heavy damage to the front of the car, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.
"The car was on Warren Street, entered Lexington Street and struck a concrete pot in the intersection," Lawn said.

Police identified the driver of the car as Wasita Tangtrakal, 31, of 58 Hersom St. in Watertown, Lawn said. The officer detected an odor of alcohol on Tangtrakal's breath and administered field sobriety tests, Lawn said.
Tangtrakal was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, Lawn said.
