Watertown Police Log: A Panty Thief, Bike Stolen from the Library

Also this week, a woman tried to take items from Marshalls and a Mercedes SUV broken into.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 13, 6:07 p.m.: A woman allegedly placed several items into a large handbag at and tried to leave the store, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Yeseul Han, 19, of 1011 Washington St. in Newton, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting of more than $100 by concealment.

Aug. 15, 2:25 a.m.: An officer spotted a car with a broken tail light and when the car was pulled over the officer discovered the drier had a suspended license, Lawn said. Alexander Pacious, 20, of 151 Pleasant St. in Watertown, was arrested on charges of a number plate violation and driving with a suspended license.

Aug. 18, 9:33 p.m.: An officer on patrol ran the registration of a 1999 Honda, and found the owner has an outstanding warrant, Lawn said. Colbert A. Travers, 32, of 23 Liberty St. Apt. B in Waltham, was arrested on a warrant from Framingham District Court for traffic violations.

Aug. 18, 10:19 p.m.: Police dealt with a domestic incident on Quimby Street, Lawn said. Stephen A. Eldredge, 44, of 12 Quimby St. Apt. B in Watertown, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – a door, and witness intimidation.

Aug. 18, 11:12 p.m.: An officer patrolling on Main Street spotted a car pass another car on the right side, and then stop at a green light at Lexington Street before making a quick turn, Lawn said. The officer detected a strong odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath. Field sobriety tests were given and the driver was arrested. Also, an open beer can was found in the car. Alexander A. Lepore, 19, of 21 Fort Ave. Apt. 1 in Boston, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, a passing violation, starting and stopping without using care and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

 

Incidents

Aug. 14, 5:59 p.m.: Someone cut a hole in the fence at the Gore Estate on Waltham Street, Lawn said.

Aug. 15, 7:24 a.m.: The air hose and air valves on three tires were cut by someone at the Mount Auburn Mobil gas station, Lawn said.

Aug. 16, 3:58 p.m.: A worker at in the Arsenal Mall discovered that someone took 60 pairs of underwear, worth a total of $720, Lawn said.

Aug. 16, 4:36 p.m.: A Garfield Street resident discovered pry marks on a metal screen door leading to a porch at her home, Lawn said. Entry was not gained to the house.

Aug. 16, 5:07 p.m.: A boy discovered his bike had been stolen from the , Lawn said. It had been locked up in back of the library with his two brothers’ bikes. The other two bikes were not taken. The missing bike is a black BMX bike worth $300.

Aug. 19, 11:56 a.m.: A woman came out of Super Fitness and discovered someone broke the window of her Mercedes SUV and took a pocketbook she had left on the floor of the passenger side of the car, Lawn said. The pocketbook contained cash, credit cards, a cell phone, a checkbook and other personal items.

Aug. 19, 5:51 p.m.: A employee came out and found that someone had scratched the entire side of her Honda Civic while it was parked in a driveway on Aldrich Road, Lawn said.
