Watertown Police Log: Cash Stolen from Home, Bayonet Missing and More

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Nov. 6, 11:21 a.m.: Police arrested Artine Sarkisisan 55, of 69 Elm St. in Watertown, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Nov. 7, 12:37 p.m.: Police arrested Gary Gyulakian Karo, 41, of 25 Whitman Road in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon – a knife.

Nov. 4, 4:54 p.m.: Two packages delivered by UPS were stolen from the front lobby mailroom at an apartment building on Whites Avenue. Each contained an iPhone 5S.

Nov. 4, 6:33 p.m.: A Walnut Street resident went on vacation on Oct. 29 and returned Nov. 3, and while she was gone a coffee can with $560 in cash was taken. There were no signs of forced entry.

Nov. 7, 3:34 p.m.: A cloth bag containing $75 in change was taken from a home on Boyd Street. It also contained a World War II bayonet worth $150.

Nov. 8, 7:42 p.m.: A woman was spotted switching price tags of items at Marshalls. Other items were put in a bag and she tried to leave without paying. The unpaid items were worth $84.92, and the balance of the items with the switched price tags was $73.95. A 42-year-old woman from Watertown will be summonsed to Waltham District Court for two counts of shoplifting.

Nov. 9, 4:55 p.m.: A man walked into Sports Authority and opened a box and put something in his jacket. They found a pair of Skullcandy headphones on him. Sports Authority will deal with the 18-year-old male from Watertown internally.
