Watertown Police Log: Home Broken Into and Items Strewn About, Shoplifters Nabbed

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Jan. 1, 9:48 a.m.: Police arrested Robert Phinney, 52, of 27 Lexington St. in Watertown, was arrested for violating a restraining order.

Jan. 1, 10:23 a.m.: Police arrested Armenouhie Nalchadjian, 42, of 39 Dartmouth Road Apt. 2 in Watertown, on charges of assault and battery.
 
Jan. 1, 3:50 p.m.: Target security caught a teen walking around putting multiple items in shopping bags and when she was confronted she dropped the bags and tried to flee through the mall. She was caught in the parking lot. Security discovered she had also taken merchandise the previous day. Police arrested a 16-year-old girl from Allston on two charges of larceny over. $250.


Incidents

Dec. 30, 5:58 p.m.: A man parked in a lot on Walnut Street overnight and when he returned he found someone took four power tools out of an unlocked cabinet on the side of the truck.

Dec. 31, 4:42 a.m.: A Waverley Avenue restaurant came home and found items thrown around the house in a number of rooms. A camcorder may have been taken.

Dec. 31, 12:01 p.m.: A teen was caught taking energy drinks at CVS on Main Street. Security saw the juvenile take two energy drinks and some candy and put it in a backpack. He took a third drink and paid for it and attempted to leave. CVS will handle the incident internally.

Dec. 31, 2:21 p.m.: A Middlesex Avenue resident was in her living room when she saw a man walk up to the porch and take a black lantern. The suspect was a white male in his early 20s. 

Jan. 2, 8:55 p.m.: A package was stolen from outside a home on Chester Street. It contained hair products worth $50.

Jan. 3, 12:13 a.m.: The owner of an SUV parked at a lot on Arsenal Street and when he returned he found the spare tire was taken from the back of his vehicle. Someone cut the canvas tire cover and removed the tire.
