Watertown Police Log: Home Vandalized, Shoplifters Busted

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

July 1, 10:38 p.m.: Police stopped a man riding a children’s bicycle on Main Street and found he had an outstanding warrant, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Domenic Ladetto, 51, of 45 Bartlett Ave. in Belmont, was arrested on a warrant from Quincy District court for disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

July 3, 11:59 a.m.: A woman was spotted by security at CVS leaving with items that she had not paid for worth over $113, Lawn said. Ashley Rose Donlan, 25, of 420 Lexington St. in Watertown, was arrested on charges of shoplifting by asportation of over $100 and trespassing.

July 6, 7:36 p.m.: An employee at O’Reilly & Son Auto Body spotted a man entering vehicles, Lawn said. Police located the man, who admitted to opening car doors and looking for items. Greg Michael McAdams, 31, of 370 Savin Hill St. in Dorchester, was arrested on charges of daytime breaking and entering a vehicle.

Incidents

July 1, 10:47 p.m.: A Bradford Road resident looked out a second story window and spotted a man open a door and look inside a vehicle, Lawn said. The suspect was described as a black male with dreadlocks carrying a pizza box. Nothing appeared to be missing.

July 2, 7:31 p.m.: A man was spotted by Target security taking two DVDs, a WWE toy, Advil and other items worth a total of $91.19, Lawn said. He tried to leave without paying. A 38-year-old man from Watertown will be summonsed for shoplifting.

July 4, 10:37 a.m.: A woman was spotted taking items from the health and beauty aisle at Stop & Shop on Watertown Street worth $465.30 and try to leave without paying, Lawn said. She will be summonsed to Waltham District Court for shoplifting.

July 5, 12:34 a.m.: A Waverley Avenue resident heard a loud bang and then heard someone cutting the screen on her back window, Lawn said. She went outside and found her son’s fish tank smashed, patio furniture was overturned and three screen windows were cut. She believes an acquaintance is responsible for the damage.

July 5, 3:30 p.m.: A man was spotted with $272.75 full of items in a carriage at Stop & Shop on Watertown Street and when security approached him he ran out of the store, Lawn said. Police located the man and a 27-year-old man from Allston will be summonsed to Waltham District Court.

July 5, 7:36 p.m.: A group of teens went to the Wireless Zone in the Arsenal Mall, gathered around a phone and cut the security cable, Lawn said. They took a Nokia phone worth $389.99. Five youths, a male from Brockton, two females from Jamaica Plain, a female from Boston and a male from Braintree will all be summonsed to court on a charge of larceny of over $250.

July 7, 8:22 p.m.: A man working out at the Mt. Auburn Club discovered that his cell phone was missing, Lawn said. The phone turned up later.
