Watertown Police Log: Laptops Stolen from Home, iPhone 5 Taken

Also this week, cars were broken into around town and a man busted for unlicensed driving.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Oct. 6, 1:03 p.m.: Police went to Phillips Street to respond to a business alarm, and while they were there they spotted a car. The car was not related to the alarm, but when they ran the registration police discovered the car was not registered, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. David H. Jones, 39, of 31 Whitlowe Road in Newton, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving with a revoked registration and a warrant from Woburn District Court for failure to appear for jury duty.

Oct. 6, 10:37 p.m.: Police responded to a call about a disturbance on Hillside Road, and discovered a woman involved had a warrant in her name, Lawn said. Jennifer M. Sullivan, 33, of 149 Hillside Road in Watertown, was arrested on a warrant from Cambridge District Court for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

Incidents

Oct. 5, 6:09 p.m.: An Irving Street resident reported that an iPhone 5 he ordered was delivered to his building by FedEx earlier in the afternoon, but he could not find the package, Lawn said.

Oct. 7, 10 a.m.: Two cars were broken into overnight on Cuba Street, Lawn said. The thief went into the unlocked cars and ransacked the interior.

Oct. 7, 1:04 p.m.: Someone broke into a home on Green Street Terrace through a porch and took two laptop computers, Lawn said. The suspect then broke into a car at the home and ransacked it. A neighbor’s car was also broken into and $20 was stolen.

Oct. 7, 7:07 p.m.: An Irving Street resident noticed damage to the top corner of her door, including door molding being pulled out, Lawn said. It occurred sometime from Oct. 5 to 7. No entry was gained.
