Watertown Police Log: Man Busted for OUI and Drug Possession, iPhone Stolen from Store

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Oct. 22, 12:38 p.m.: An employee at Home Depot had been returning items fraudulently and getting store credit, for a total of $579.87. Stephanie B. Jeantillorme, 22, of 7 Woodrow Wilson Court Apt. 42 in Cambridge, was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250 by a single scheme.

Oct. 24, 4:23 p.m.: Police arrested Robert M. Mullen, 37, of 34 Laurel St. in Watertown, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Oct. 27, 12:37 a.m.: An officer driving through Watertown Square spotted a car trying to turn into the right lane to go on Spring Street, but it was holding up traffic. The officer told the driver to continue straight, but the driver ignored the instruction. Eventually the car turned on Spring Street and the officer stopped the driver. He refused to give the officer his license. Swardiq Mayanja, 20, of 75 Allison St. in Newton, was arrested on charges of failing to use care when turning and refusing to produce a license.

Oct. 21, 10:26 a.m.: Two small holes, believed to be from BBs or pellets, were found in a window at Paramount Cleaners on Mt. Auburn Street.

Oct. 21, 10:51 a.m.: A teenage girl was spotted taking a pair of earrings from Claire’s Boutique at the Arsenal Mall. A 14-year-old girl from Cambridge was caught, and the store will handle the incident internally.

Oct. 21, 4:38 p.m.: A man walked into the AT&T store on Mt Auburn Street and grabbed an iPhone from the display case and ran out of the store toward Arsenal Street. The suspect was described as a black male, 6-feet tall, thin build who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.

Oct. 22, 11:42 a.m.: Someone broke into the trunk of a car parked at the Watertown Mall and took a computer bag with two external hard drives and personal papers inside.

Oct. 24, 1:54 p.m.: A car was broken into while it was parked near Target in the Watertown Mall lot. A pair of glasses and two credit cards were take from the unlocked car. They were discovered to be in the possession of a man arrested later that week for breaking into cars at the mall. See more here.

Oct. 25, 10:45 a.m.: Someone shot a BB at a third floor window of a home on Summit Street.

Oct. 25, 3:34 p.m.: Employees at Peter Fuller Rentals on Arsenal Street discovered catalytic converters were stolen from two trucks over the past few days, and the thief or thieves attempted to steal a third.

Oct. 27, 1:26 a.m.: A lamppost was snapped out of the ground and damaged at a home on Lexington Street. The owner of the home told police that someone tried to steal a pumpkin from the house the previous night.
